| Again, it has taken so long to finally complete this much awaited Book 2 of God's Waiting Room. Most of you know the story of my testimony that led to the writing of the first book. A nine year wait for my second child, a covenant with the Lord that I would write a book to testify to his faithfulness, the delay in writing when the miracle came, until the painful loss of a 5 month old pregnancy which then jump started the writing process. The testimonies that have come forth from those who read Book 1 have been truly amazing. I honestly thought I would print a couple of hundred copies, which would be bought by a few friends and family and I would have fulfilled my covenant to the Lord. Not in my wildest dreams did I imagine that the book would impact women so greatly and be in such great demand worldwide. Several people came up to me after the first book was published in April 2005 asking when I would publish Book 2. Initially I resisted, because I felt Book 1 was birthed totally by the Holy Spirit and I didn't want to do anything in the flesh. Sometime late in 2007 however I was convicted that the time was right to begin to compile more testimonies of God's faithfulness to his women, for the edification of God's people. The testimonies in Book 1 had obviously ministered to so many women, encouraging them in the word, building their faith and eventually manifesting their miracles. I purposed in my heart to begin writing again but what a struggle it was! Firstly, this time around it was actually much more difficult to get the women to share their testimonies. Many promised but never did comethrough and I began to wonder why? Were they afraid of the publicity it would bring? I then realised that maybe if the women who testified in Book 1 had realised how far and wide the testimonies would go, they may have been a little reluctant too. I chased up many of the women for months, encouraging, cajoling and even begging them to write! Their spirits were willing but the body was weak..... and I could so relate to that, because every time I decided I would begin to write, writers block would set in and I would dodge my writing table yet again. I kept making the excuse that until I had all the testimonies I couldn't begin writing as I didn't want the book to be disjointed. I wish to thank most sincerely the 27 wonderful women and 1 courageous man who shared their testimonies in this book. I also thank my PA, Foluso Olumide-Okeowo, who was my “action woman” for chasing up the testifiers, Gbemi Akanbi-Lawal, my secretary, who painstakingly typed the manuscript and Lekan Omiyemi who turned the manuscript into a book. My heartfelt gratitude also goes to the love of my life, my husband, printer and publisher, Teni Zaccheaus - thank you for everything. I praise God that today, I received a special grace for this assignment and I know the words will now begin to flow. We held our bi-annual Fruitful Vine Ministration at my church, Fountain of Life Church and as always the presence of God was so manifest. As Pastor Taiwo Odukoya ministered to the women I felt a heavy burden in my heart for them all and I remembered again with pain, the anxiety and anguish of those days of waiting. Women were weeping as they were being ministered to. Some had waited as long as 13 years, one had conceived after 12 years of waiting but was told the foetus' heart beat was too weak and the baby was evacuated, there were cases of primary and secondary infertility, overdue pregnancies, fibroids and so much more. The Holy Spirit took over and the Lord reminded me again….. its not about you Yewande…..not how busy you are, how tired you are, how difficult it is to get the writing juices flowing, it is about My people and My love for them. At this point, I knew I had only one prayer point for that ministration after interceding for the women, GRACE, Lord… to complete the assignment you have given me. I asked Pastor Taiwo to anoint me so I could receive the grace….. He did and the result is here before you. My sisters, it has become clear to me that this is a life assignment not a one off. For as long as there are women trusting God for the fruit of the womb and there are testimonies of God's faithfulness to share, I am committed to bringing these testimonies to the women. Several of the women in Book 2 have testified that after reading the testimonies in Book 1, and consistently making the confessions, the Lord gave them their miracle. It is very important to stress that it is the living word of God that has delivered the women and not an inanimate book. The Bible says in Revelation 12:11 that we overcome satan by the blood of the lamb and the word of our testimony. The testimonies serve to encourage the women and help them over come the fear, doubt and anxiety that satan lays on their heart, replacing it with the spirit of love, power and a sound mind which comes from the Almighty God. I am not about to reinvent the wheel. The word of God is infallible and does not change. The Bible tells us that Jesus is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. The biblical principles discussed in Book 1 as some of the keys to a victorious waiting period namely, faith, the word, prayer, praise, sowing, fellowship, patience and mercy are still the same today, and I would recommend that you read Book 1 if you have not done so already. What I hope to achieve with Book 2 is to allow each testimony to speak for itself and then offer “testimony tips” as I did in Book 1, drawing out the salient points in each testimony that could lead other women in God's Waiting Room to their place of victory. Again, I have included a section on Adoption with seven beautiful testimonies of the acceptance of God's sovereignty and His faithfulness. He can bring about your miracle in whatsoever way He chooses, a joy unspeakable released in every home. A new section, scriptural confessions for Adoption is also included. My sisters, we are all in this together. Until we go to the Lord in glory everyone of us has something we are believing God for. My sincere prayer is that His promise in Luke 1:45 will be fulfilled in all our lives. Blessed is she who believed, for there will be a fulfillment of those things which were told her from the Lord. Amen. Yewande Zaccheaus |
